Robotic Benefits

The youngest children have learned to programme the Bee-bot, while the older ones have worked on the robotic zoo and programming a football robot. They are the young protagonists, aged 7-10, of Project Building Wings: inclusion for children with communication disorders through educational robotics. The project, which is financed by the Regione Lazio, has involved three classes from the Istituto comprensivo Viale dei Consoli in Rome’s Tuscolano neighbourhood.

The results of the experimental educational robotics project dedicated to children with learning disabilities will be presented tomorrow at a public event at the Rome Città Educativa.

Thanks to the cooperative work style and an inclusive and constructivist methodology - learning by doing – even the most fragile students have been able to test solutions together with their classmates. Coordinated by an educational robotics expert, the students achieved great results and the experience continues for the children in Year Two! The young designers are getting ready to compete in the dance category at RomeCup 2015.
