The Nasa Space Apps Challenge returns to Rome. The third edition of the hackathon will be held simultaneously in over 130 cities on April 10-12.
The competition that gathers programmers, designers, students and space enthusiasts, will be held at the Faculty of Engineering of the Rome Sapienza University on via Eudossiana 18.
On Friday, April 10, at 5 pm, the Faculty of Engineering will host a press conference to present the event with John Phillips, United States Embassy in Italy; Filippo Angelucci, Director, It Department and Chief Information Officer, ESA; Enrico Flamini, Scientific Director , ASI and Jason Kessler, Asteroid Grand Challenge and LAUNCH Program Executive, NASA. Maj. Pil. Luca Parmitano, ESA Astronaut and ASI Volare Mission Member, will participate via live videoconference from Houston.
Also on Friday, from 7 to 11 pm, the Fondazione Mondo Digitale will host the live streaming of the New York Data Bootcamp at its Phyrtual Innovation Gym on via del Quadraro 102. The bootcamp allows participants to attend training workshops on “Hardware & Robotics” and “Programming & Web App Development”. Register for the bootcamp on Eventbrite.
