A project for schools involving company employees and partners.
SAP, one of the main global business IT providers, has published a press note with a short review of its collaboration with non-profit organisations to work on “activities and projects that allow young men and women to acquire new skills and knowledge about technology and business, as well as soft skills such as team work and how to manage stress and deadlines.” The SAP awareness-raising and educational activities on digital tools involving employees and partners in coaching and mentorship activities have benefitted 5300 individuals in Italy over the past year.
Together with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, SAP developed Project Rising Youth that, during the 2023-24 school year, involved over 300 students from 18 upper secondary schools throughout Italy in workshops on emerging smart technology. Moreover, 120 of them participated in a hackathon held at RomeCup 2024. The winning team, “I-Trash” (Class 4H, Liceo scientifico G.B. Grassi, Latina) devised a smart recycling system for domestic waste based on the SAP Build Process Automation and SAP Usage Data Management Service.
For SAP, these projects are exciting both for the participants and the company volunteers and partners who participated. And they will be replicated during school year 2024-25.
