Today, class III B from the Istituto Comprensivo Via dell’Archeologia takes part in a lab on renewable energy at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym - Robotics Centre at the Rome Città Educativa.
Engineer Mohamed Gaber Haiba will help students use the Lego Renewable Energy Education Kit to learn about the potential of Robotics applied to new energy forms.
In particular, the students will construct an Aeolian turbine to convert wind into electric energy. In the process, they will learn to measure all the factors that describe wind power and Aeolian energy, programme and record relevant data.

The kit includes the following material:
• 500+ element robust construction system
• Battery box and three-way switch
• 1 motor
• 1 solar panel
• Energy accumulator
• 1 servo-motor
• Turbine blades
The laboratories are available every day until June 2015.
