The reality that must not exist

The reality that must not exist

A day of immersive experiences against violence and isolation

On the occasion of International Women's Rights Day, we are organizing an innovative event in collaboration with Rai Cinema and One More Pictures, to involve young people in an immersive educational experience to raise awareness about digital violence, awareness and online security.

The event is scheduled for Friday, March 7, 2025, at 9:30 a.m., at the Edoardo Amaldi high school in Rome (Via Pietrasecca 99). During the meeting we will explore the topic of online grooming and social isolation (hikikomori) through the viewing and discussion of some short films selected from the winners of the Reality that DOES NOT Exist contest (2019, 2022 and 2023 editions).

The event includes the screening of the short films La bambola di pezza, directed by Nicola Conversa, and Happy Birthday, with Jenny De Nucci. Participants can also enjoy an immersive virtual reality experience with Aurora, directed by Luca Michele and inspired by the short film A voce nuda.

On the eve of International Women's Rights Day, this event is an opportunity to reflect on the impact of digital violence and social isolation, promoting awareness and responsibility in the use of technology. The theme chosen this year for March 8th, For ALL women and girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment of, invites us to take action to ensure equal rights, opportunities and decision-making power for all women and girls.

At the center of this vision is the empowerment of the younger generations: young people, and young women in particular, as protagonists of lasting change.
