"Quelli del San Benedetto"

The school community of the Polo professionale di Cassino - IIS San Benedetto shares its news – information, focuses and stories – in its magazine: the seventy-page "Quelli del San Benedetto."

In the January issue, Federica Calao and Melissa Salera (Class 4L) describe the session on fake news in medicine (pg. 27) organised by Project  Fattore J with Janssen Italia.

Another classmate, Laura Malaggese, has sent us a preview of an article she has written for the forthcoming issue to share her experience as a project ambassador and her trip to Rome for the local meeting held on April 27: “Cassino Factor J Ambassadors in Rome” (in Italian).

“As a Factor J ambassador, I am as a spokesperson for correct scientific information. I chose to become an ambassador because I believe that my generation are the voice of a society in evolution, we represent the present and the future. As Generation Z, the scientific issues addressed by the association allow us to leverage our interests and curiosities,” writes Laura. “Medicine has always been my passion and the approach of the association stimulated my desire to participate more fully in the project. The experts worked with us and listened to our ideas and observations – above all, they trusted us.”

Laura also writes about her experience with the collaborative writing of a Health Manifesto.

“Thanks to the training I received with Factor J, I now personally understand what scientific progress means to those who suffer from a serious disease, an issue that was addressed during the event.”

“The professors involved in the project were also very helpful. They incited and encouraged us to undertake new experiences, trusting ourselves.”
