The City of Alessandria and TIM have announced, starting November 29, a new edition of the School of Internet for Everyone, a free educational programme dedicated to individuals of all ages who wish to learn how to practically use the applications and digital services that can simplify our lives and daily activities [see: Press Note].

Residents of Alessandria can register for free to the on-line course on ‘Improving Life through Digital Tools’ and learn more about the devices used to surf the Internet, use the main available apps and the most common e-payment methods, with a special focus on public administration services (PA, SPID, Cie-Id, App IO) and other health and well-being apps (Electronic Health Register – FSE).

Participants can enjoy a wide range of time slots and participate in a virtual class with 120 TIM teachers and tutors, who will guarantee inclusive learning. Besides the lessons, participants will also be able to take advantage of e-learning content, downloadable material and links to further focuses with practical exercises, videos and games. Participants who attend no less than 75% of lessons will access the final questionnaire that unlocks the digital participation certificate.

Improving Life through Digital Tools’ is based on the Google Workspace Platform and is organised in collaboration with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.

The initiative is part of Operation Digital Risorgimento, the vast alliance promoted by TIM with over 40 partners in the public, private and non-profit sectors. The alliance was formed in 2019 to bridge the digital-cultural gap, accelerate the take-up of digital skills by citizens, enterprises and public administrations and overcome the lag in the adoption of new technology compared to other European countries.
