Today’s lab centres on the Lego Mindstorms NXT kit based on a programmable brick. The protagonists at the Rome Città Educativa Robotics Centre are third-year students studying computer science at the Istituto d'istruzione superiore Enzo Ferrari in Rome.
The Lego Mindstorms NXT kit includes:
• 32-bit smart NXT brick with a rechargeable battery
• 500-element construction system
• Three interactive servomotors with integrated encoders
• Ultrasound distance sensor
• Sounds sensor
• Light sensor
• Pressure sensor
The educational robotics labs held at the Rome Città Educativa Robotics Centre are open every day, except Wednesdays, through June 2014.
