Yet another lab dedicated to young children with the Lego WeDo kit. Today, the Robotics Centre at the Rome Città Educativa in Via del Quadraro will welcome young students from Class 3B at the Plesso Carlo Pisacane Primary School of the Istituto Comprensivo Via Ferraioni in Rome.
The Lego Wedo kit includes a platform with a PC USB cable connection and wheels, cogs, one motor and two sensors (movement and inclination) as well as traditional coloured lego bricks.
The WeDo kit allows children to create simple robots that can be connected to a computer that move and use their sensors to react to your actions! Besides the traditional coloured Lego bricks, the kit includes easy-to-use software blocks that allow the children to program the robot in a simple and intuitive manner.
The educational robotics labs held at the Rome Città Educativa Robotics Centre are open every day, except Wednesdays, through June 2014.
