After the first three editions in Florence, Rome and Milan, the 2016 edition of the initiative promoted by Microsoft has been transformed into Pink Cloud on Tour – Science and Technology for Ambitious Women. From May 9 to 13, the event was held in three cities - Bari, Naples and Cagliari - introducing over 1000 young Italian and foreign women (aged 17-24) to the many opportunities existing in the technological and digital sectors to overcome the gender gap in technological education.
As part of Pink Cloud, Microsoft has launched the global #MakeWhatsNext Campaign with 43 events in 27 countries to train 7,000 young women on technical and scientific subjects. On May 26-27, Venice will host the final appointment for “Pink Cloud on Tour.” The Venice Ca’ Foscari Univesity in collaboration with Microsoft will host a meeting of successful women in the technological sector with young European women. The Fondazione Mondo Digitale will be represented by Ana Lain, Self-Enterprise Project and New Jobs Coordinator.
While we follow the event on social media with hashtag #MakeWhatsNext, let’s review the Cagliari leg of the Pink Cloud Tour with interviews by Eleonora Curatola and Cecilia Stajano, School Innovation Manager.
