Pilgrims in Rome

Arianna Nazzaro (17) attends year four at the IIS Via Copernico School in Pomezia, in the Province of Rome. Together with her classmates in Class IV B at the applied sciences lyceum, she began working on the app as part of the school-work programme and then won the International Hackathon for Civic and Social Innovation at the Discovering Talents Fair, organized as part of Microsoft Programme Meet No Neet.

Journalist Ida Guglielmotti (Radio in Blu) interviewed Arianna on the Project that was one of the finalists at the Discovering Talents Fair. “Walk in Rome” is an app that welcomes, orients and guides pilgrims who arrive in Rome for the Jubilee of Mercy. Now, Arianna and her classmates would like to provide the app to the Vatican and Pope Francis.

The Project

Walk in Rome. Discovering Rome …

“Walk in Rome” is an app that welcomes, orients and guides pilgrims who arrive in Rome for the Jubilee of Mercy. It provides pilgrims with information on transportation, churches, museums, exhibitions, hotels, restaurants, bars and pastry shops. And the users can read and leave reviews on their choices.
