"Together with AIPI, we are working on a general information campaign on pulmonary hypertension to promote easier diagnoses. This year, together with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, we have involved AIPI in Project “Factor J” to raise the awareness of high school students on issues related to health and illness. During the course of these difficult months, in order to help out pulmonary hypertension patients, we activated the “Janssen at Your Home” Service, delivering oral medication directly to their households. In order to promote knowledge about the disease, we developed a dediated website – www.PHocus360.it – and a Facebook page.

 

Massimo Scaccabarozzi, President and CEO of Janssen Italia, spoke to Press Agency Adnkronos about committment "for research and the development of innovative therapeutic solutions that will provide answers to the need to cure patients and promote the acitivties of associations assisting [pulmonary hypertension] patients and their families" and Project Factor J [see news (in Italian): Malattie rare, 3mila italiani con ipertensione polmonare].

 

Factor J, promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale with Janssen Italia, is the first Italian school curriculum for educating students to develop emotional intelligence, respect and empathy towards individuals suffering from unease of disease. This is an important social operation to stimulate a change in mentality and culture in the new generations.
