The initiative, promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale for Città Educativa, successfully ended on November 15 in Velletri.
Antonella Isopi, School Administrator at IC Velletri Centro welcomed everybody by underlining the value of the project and the importance of collaboration between students and parents to promote a safe use of new technologies.
Sixth grade students then showcased the work they accomplished with Professors Franco Tessitore and Maria Antonietta Morganti: cartoons, a Decalogue for safe Internet browsing, a board game and two videos they shot and edited. The first video portrayed the sensations experienced by victims of cyber-bullying, while the second that was filmed with smartphone apps, addressed the issue of the dangers of on-line seduction.
The day ended with a meeting with the experts from the Italian Postal Police. Police officers Paola Turi and Loredana Marziario explained to the students how to navigate safely and avoid risks.
