The OpenSpace experiential education week held by Marco Brocchieri at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym of the Milan Madre Teresa di Calcutta hub school has just ended. The Robotics activities also involved students and teachers at the De Andreis branch school.

In Palermo, instead, the educational week was dedicated to digital manufacturing with local coach Daniele Crisci.

Next week, Bari and Reggio Calabria will host Fab Lab and Video Lab activities.

 

Fiammetta Castagnini will return to work with the four classes of year two students at the Bernardino Telesio School with a lab on “Audiovisual Storytelling: Filming and Audio-Video Recording for Storytelling.” On Friday, two classes from the Liceo Scientifico Gullì (branch school) will be hosted at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym. On Tuesday, from 3 to 6 pm, there will be a teacher training course.

 

In Bari, at the Don Milani branch school, Coach Irene Caretti will introduce five sixth grade and four seventh grade classes to digital manufacturing. The course includes activities dedicated to students with psycho-physical disabilities, who will be helped by support teachers and student tutors. The young makers will learn to use Tinkercad, one of the most popular 3D modelling software packages and learn about the potential of 3D printing.

 

 

OpenSpace, selected by Con i Bambini as part of the Fund to contrast the educational poverty of is a four-year project that aims to make communities more inclusive and responsible, promoting the educational and cultural growth and the empowerment of pre-adolescents and adolescents. The project is being held in suburban areas of Bari, Milan, Palermo and Reggio Calabria.
