The evening at Villa Pinciana, residence of the Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy
The reception marking the 25th anniversary of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale at Villa Pinciana was accompanied by the music of the Slovenian pianist Mojca Pregeljc, who brought to the evening the sensitivity of an international artistic career, spanning classical repertoire and chamber music. Born in Slovenia in 1997, Mojca trained at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, where she graduated with top marks in Chamber Music, and today combines her concert career with teaching in both Italy and Slovenia. The evening held special significance for her, not least because of the instrument she played: a piano with over a century of history, prepared for the occasion with the help of the piano tuner Lara Urbani.
“It’s certainly a unique experience to be able to play on instruments of this kind,” Mojca explains in the video interview. “I was truly moved to be able to share my music.”
This musical accompaniment added a dimension of listening and sharing to the celebration, in keeping with the spirit of Knowledge that Connects.
