Activities at the Educational at the Educational Robotics Centre at the Rome Phyrtual Innovation Gym will begin again in September with the new school year.

A series of new surprises will be added to the laboratories and workshops provided during the current year. In fact, over 2000 aspiring designers aged six to sixteen participated in four types of labs:

  • Bee-Bot – for year 1 and 2 of primary school. The Bee-bot is a toy-robot designed for infancy and primary school. While it introduces children to robotics through play, it also imparts the rudiments of visual programming and teaches the young children about spatial relations, logic, counting and movement;
  • WeDo for years 3-5 of primary school. This lab is based on the WeDo Lego Construction Kit and allows students to build simple Lego models that can be connected to a computer. It allows students to experiment with manual didactic experiences, look for alternative creative solutions and work in a group;
  • NXT for first degree secondary school includes constructions with smart bricks, sophisticated technology and an intuitive programming language that stimulates creativity;
  • Renewable Energy for first and second-degree secondary school with the Lego Education Renewable Energy Sources Kit to discover the potential of robotics applications applied to new energy forms.

The booking service is open: just write to Francesca Del Duca f.delduca@mondodigitale.org or Mohamed Haiba m.haiba@mondodigitale.org.
