Nikhil Gandhi and Simone Masri are the English-language coaches of the 2017 edition of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale’s English Summer Camp.
They have arrived in Rome and are busy exploring the digital environments of the Phyrtual Innovation Gym to prepare for the young children who will participate in the three high-tech weeks: June 12-16, June 19-23 and July 3-7).
Nikhil, 20, studies mechanical engineering and comes from New Delhi. Thanks to his mother, a teacher, he loves educating children. "First of all, I'm glad and very excited for this project. Really looking forward to my stay in Rome."
Simone, 20, is Lebanese and studies Development Science. He has already taught children aged 8-13. The challenge he is most interested in is to make every learning experience fun and exciting. "I would definitely make sure that everything will be enjoyable."
Coaches from the Phyrtual Innovation Gym will help Nikhil and Simone manage and coordinate the activities over the three weeks of the English Summer Camp.
Nihil and Simone have been selected thanks to AIESEC, the largest international non-profit organisation managed entirely by university students and which provides students with opportunities abroad in over 124 countries.
The appointment with the first week of the English Summer Camp is next Monday, June 12.
