This week’s protagonists are the Coding Girls and their 14-stop educational tour of Italy [see news: Coding is Freedom]. After the school training sessions, the educational marathon will start tomorrow in Turin with the first hackathon, before travelling to Milan (Wednesday 6), Bologna (Thursday 7), Trieste (Friday 8) and Pisa (Saturday 9). Moreover, 9 further hackathons are planned [see poster].
The following projects will also hold activities next week:
Four labs on artificial intelligence will be held at the Microsoft House, while one will be held at the school hub in Brindisi.

Activities will be held at Phyrtual Innovation Gyms in the suburbs of Milan, Bari and Palermo. In Palermo, Coding and Digital Storytelling will be held by Francesco Passantino, while Marco Brocchieri will hold educational robotics activities in Bari. "Welcome to the Web – Top Tips for Using the Internet" begins today. This is an intercultural lab to introduce foreign citizens to the digital economy with the help of students [see agenda].
On Wednesday, the programme will be dedicated to a lab on Facebook and Instagram Security for students [see agenda].
Fiftenn training sessions in Milan, Turin, Parma, Naples, Potenza, Taranto, Reggio Calabria and Palermo.
Microsoft employee volunteers working for the Give Campaign will be on tour with the Coding Girls and Programme “Ambizione Italia for Schools”: Denajda Allay, Angelo Marchetti and Fabio Santini.
Next Friday, FMD will host a social innovation challenge with Lazio Innova and the Azienda Sanitaria Locale in Viterbo to promote the new area for former patients at the Belcolle Hospital. At the Spazio Attivo in Viterbo, Ilaria Graziano e Francesca Meini will lead a Lego Serious Play session [see news].
As usual, over the weekend, the digital manufacturing lab (Fab Lab) at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym is open to the maker community: Saturday-Sunday from 3:30 to 8:30 pm.
