The 6th edition of EU CodeWeek starts tomorrow and will end on October 20. Like every year, the Fondazione Mondo Digitale will participate in the coding week with a series of local appointments. Thanks to a collaboration with the Fondazione Rava, robotics labs will also be held in a foster home that hosts 10 minors. Activities will be held by Andrea Morachioli (Oct. 8-9, afternoon). Labs for Ambizione Italia for Schools will be held at the Milan Microsoft House throughout the week.
It’s CodeWeek for the Coding Girls, too. The sixth edition begins next week with the traditional press conference at the American Embassy in Rome (Tuesday, October 8). The conference falls on Ada Lovelace Day. Minister Paola Pisano has been invited [see news: Coding Girls, 6th Edition].
Project OpenSpace labs move to the Phyrtual Innovation Gym in Reggio Calabria, at the Istituto compresivo Telesio. From Monday, October 7 to Friday, October 11, five second-year classes will participate in digital manufacturing labs. Local Coaches Maurizio Marrara and Emanuele Marino will hold activities in the Fab Lab. On Tuesday afternoon, from 3-6 pm, there will be a teacher training session.
Project +We - Wurth Experience has reached the final stages. Next week, there will be the presentation of the course results and the video-art installations by Paolo Scoppola (Mixed Media Art) and the Liceo Artistico Caravillani. The event will be held at the Wurth offices in Capena. The installations will remain active on Saturday, October 12 for the “Giornata del contemporaneo Amaci” (open to the public).
Programme Vagone FMD at Binario F will host the second appointment of ”Seniors On-line – Practical and Easy Guide to the Internet” [Oct. 7, 2019, 10 am – 1 pm, see agenda]. On Wednesday morning (Oct. 9), students will be the protagonists of the "Words Have Power! – From Hate Speech to Ho-style Words: [see agenda].
Programme Living Digital will host six appointments. On Monday, Coach Lara Forgione will be at IIS Alberti in Rome, while Coach Davide Morante will be at IIS Galvani in Bologna. On Wednesday, Roberta Moretti will be at IIS Einstein in Vimercate. On Thursday, Vito Verrastro will be at LS Pasolini in Potenza and, on Friday, there will be an interactive educational session at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym with Lara Forgione and Giorgia di Tommaso for students from the ITA Garibaldi School. Also, on Friday, Roberta Moretti will be at IIS Einstein in Vimercate.
International events include the All Digital Summit 2019 that will be held in Bologna on Oct. 10-11. The Fondazione Mondo Digitale will be represented by Project Managers Ilaria Graziano and Annaleda Mazzucato.
As usual, over the weekend, the digital manufacturing lab (Fab Lab) at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym is open to the maker community: Saturday-Sunday from 3:30 to 8:30 pm.
