The Fondazione Mondo Digitale is launching a new contest to identify new scenarios that can integrate digital technology and design applied to education to test new teaching/learning models.

The object of the contest is to to identify new scenarios that can integrate digital technology and design applied to education to test new teaching/learning models.
With the support of the digital manufacturing lab and other environments at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym, makers, designers, engineers, creatives, etc. will be able to work together on designing and developing educational objects and prototypes to improve the learning experience of individuals of all ages and in all conditions.
The project concept must privilege the use of innovative technology: production processes, design software, interactive tools, etc. The final product must by physical and function correctly.
The call is open to everyone, either as individuals or in groups. To compete, please complete the form available at sito www.innovationgym.org (on-line shortly). Registration deadline is July 15, 2017.
The projects must be received by August 31, 2017, including: abstracts, images (drafts, renders or explicative images), development details, materials and technology and all other information fundamental for understanding the project. The project blueprint must be presented in both Italian and English.
The project selected initially will be developed in the labs at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym (Via del Quadraro 102) between September and December 2017.
The results of the first selection phase will be communicated via e-mail by the end of September 2017 to allow participants to perfect their projects.
The jury reserves the right to select other projects of interest.
The FMD will organise a technical meeting with participants to explain the contest objectives and the machinery, technology and resources available at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym to conceive and develop the prototypes.
Selected projects will be presented at the Rome Maker Faire 2017 (Dec. 1-3, 2017) at the FMD stands. The winners will also be announced at the event.
The project will remain intellectual property of their creators. All selected project will be presented on FMD communication channels.
The top three winners will receive help to present their projects on the Phyrtual.org Crowdfunding Platform and will be involved in pitches at events with major partners to find promoters and financers.
