The new school year officially started on September 1. Last Tuesday, September 5, students in the autonomous province of Bolzano were the first to return to school.
The week that begins today, September 11, will see students return to school in Piedmont, Valle D'Aosta and the autonomous province of Trento. Schools will open tomorrow in Lombardy, while students in Abruzzo, Basilicata, Campania, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Marche, Sicily, Umbria, and Veneto will start on Wednesday, September 13. On September 14, classes will begin in Calabria, Liguria, Molise, Puglia, and Sardinia. The last schools to start will be Emilia Romagna, Lazio, and Tuscany on September 15.
