During the press conference held on December 27 in the council hall, Councillor for Technological Innovation Eugenio Di Sciascio presented a partnership between the Bari Council, through the Porta Futuro job centre, Almaviva, Microsoft Italia, Fondazione Mondo Digitale and Baker Hughes to promote the development of digital skills for citizens interested in increasing their professional appeal.
Since last autumn, in collaboration with Porta Futuro Bari, courses have been organised by Ambizione Italia for Youth, the educational programme promoted by Microsoft Italia in collaboration with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, to meet the needs of citizens wishing to professionally requalify, update or improve their digital skills. Participants have been following one or more of the free on-line courses that include an intermediate level course on digital marketing, a basic course on digital literacy, and another intermediate level course on multimedia communication. Thanks to today’s partnership, participants with the best results will receive a device (either a PC or tablet) donated by partner companies.
Mirta Michilli, Director General of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, participated in videoconferencing: “In order to win the digital skills challenge, we need networks and hybrid alliances such as that with the City of Bari - a true national ecosystem to support a socially fair, inclusive and qualitative, economic recovery, and one open to everyone from youth to the most fragile of our citizens. “Ambizione Italia for Youth” works to make sure that no one is excluded from the opportunities provided by the digital transformation and enabling technologies.”
