CDTI, the Club of Directors for Technology and Information, a non-profit association directed by President Massimo di Virgilio, has ratified the nomination of Mirta Michilli as a new councillor. The nomination is part of a drive to renew the board and assure a greater female presence, explains newly elected Deputy President Maria Pia Giovannini.

The two new councillors - Cinthia Bianconi, President of the Fondazione Olivetti, and Mirta Michilli, Director General of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale – join the other five women on the board. In total, women now represent 30% of the board.

"The new CDTI Board of Directors with a greater representation of women aims to contribute to the development of initiatives addressing the culture of women in scientific subjects and technological specialisations, as well as to assist institutions developing programmes and support tools to contrast violence against the weaker categories of society,” writes Maria Pia Giovannini on Keybiz (see: Spazio alle donne. Il CDTI di Roma si fa più rosa (in Italian)].
