The school is currently facing a crucial challenge. Amongst the 1000 students that attend the school, there are many students who have just arrived in Italy (“NAI” ore new arrivals in Italy as pedagogue Graziella Favaro defines them). These students must still learn Italian. Emilia Romagna, in fact, is the region with the highest average of foreign students (13.5%).
A training workshop on the intergenerational learning method was held at the school and involved five other local schools: IIS Luigi Fantini di Vergato, IIS Aldini Valeriani - Siriani di Bologna, IC De Amicis di Anzola, IC Castello di Serravalle di Castelletto, ISIT Bassi Burgatti di Cento.
