Giuseppa Arcadipane (19) is attending her last year of school at the Istituto d’istruzione secondaria superiore Silvio D’Arzo in Montecchio Emilia. She has obtained the four Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certifications with excellent scores and great enthusiasm. Coordinating teacher Francesco Gioffreda has nicknamed her Miss Thousand, as she always obtains a full score on her certification exams (1000/1000), notwithstanding the fact that she doesn’t even have that much time as she is also studying for her final exams.

Miss Thousand is certain that the Microsoft certifications will provide her with greater opportunities on the job market and allow her to choose a profession fitting her expectations, knowledge and competences.

The campaign promoted by Microsoft and Telecentre Europe in collaboration with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and Tesi Automazione aims to perfect and certify the skills that youth need to enter the working world through the distribution of 1000 vouchers.

The following categories may take the certification examinations through June 30 at the at via del Quadraro 102:
   Students, teachers and school personnel
   Social agents and operators
   Makers
   Knowledge Volunteers

The initiative is part of the YouthSpark initiative and is based on the long partnership between Microsoft and Telecentre-Europe to promote youth employment and address the technological skill mismatch amongst young job seekers. The certifications are provided by the Microsoft IT Academy Programme that has distributed 1.4 million certifications to students around the world over the last 12 months.
