Project Meet No Neet was presented on November 14 2012 at the Liceo statale classic. The project developed by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and Microsoft Italy targets 1000 young individuals aged 18-24 on the use of innovative tools and competences to enter the job market through the world of social commitment.
Technological and social innovation processes, individual and active learning and knowledge oriented were just a few of the issues addressed by Professor Alfonso Molina, Professor of Technology Strategy at the University of Edinburgh and Scientific Director of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale during his lesson on social innovation.
Pier Luigi Dal Pino, Central Director for Institutional and Industrial Relations, Microsoft Italy, also participated and pointed out: “Microsoft firmly believes in its commitment to youth through a global initiative called Youthspark. The initiative, which is custom-tailored to local contexts and will involve 100 countries over the next three years, aims to increase the digital competence of youth and facilitate their access to the job market. And this is just what this concrete project that we are promoting together with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale does.”
Here is the interview with Paola Bisegna, Headmaster of the Liceo Democrito and Simone and Riccardo, two students involved in the project.
The next project meetings will be held in Naples and Scampia on November 16 and 19, 2012.
