For the upcoming RomeCup 2019 (April 2-5, 2019), the Università Politecnica delle Marche, in collaboration with ISME (Inter-university Centre of Integrated Systems for the Marine Environment), Talent and the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, presents the MareBOT Challenge to promote excellence and activism by Italian schools in the field of ICT design for marine robotics.
The Department of Information Engineering at the March Polytechnic University invites all first and second-degree secondary schools to participate in the initiative.
The MareBOT Challenge is a competition amongst first and second-degree secondary schools, even groups of students, to propose and/or develop robotics projects related to the sea and the marine environment. The projects must include a high degree of technical or technological – even entrepreneurial – knowledge.
The MareBOT Challenge includes two categories (first and second-degree secondary schools) with an initial design phase followed by the selection of 4 projects in each category, a second phase in which the groups can consult experts and a final phase with a live demo.
