Final phase of Rising Youth: a hackathon at RomeCup 2023
solutions for businesses, Project Rising Youth helps students to acquire and strengthen the digital and soft skills that are necessary to face the challenges and the continuous changes of the labour market and to reflect on the professional opportunities provided by the digital transition. The second edition involved over 400 students from 17 secondary schools in nine regions: Lazio, Campania, Veneto, Sicily, Emilia Romagna, Campania, Abruzzo, Calabria, and Basilicata.
After the initial training phase with Sap experts (7 meetings), students participated in an acceleration course, held by company mentors, trainers and tutors to accompany the students in the process of designing and prototyping innovative solutions to be presented at RomeCup 2023. Tomorrow, the project will end at RomeCup with a hackathon dedicated to finalising the prototypes.
Seventy-three students from five schools, organized into 14 teams, were selected to participate in the SAP Challenge: "Imagine you want to change the world by introducing, inventing, and building a prototype that makes our planet a better place in terms of sustainability: product, people, or respect for laws and rules” (either a choice of one or a combination of all three).
