The press release for the first edition of the Media Art Festival (Rome, Feb. 25 – March 1) indicated that the “challenge is to create, thanks to technology, a virtuous cycle amongst worlds that are still distant: institutions, enterprise, school, university, artists, makers and innovators.” We have already made important progress towards the event objectives.
Fabio Mongelli, Director RUFA - Rome University of Fine Arts believes that “it is important to identify new ways of collaborating, privileging the union of similarities to the division of the analogue. RUFA could not have organized a festival dedicated to new forms of expression, a field in which our academy has always concentrated. We share the idea that students must have access to all the tools necessary to understand the modern world for only by understanding today, will they comprehend tomorrow. Thus, our participation in this adventure was paramount. We fully support the idea of sharing knowledge.”
