The free cycle of on-line digital literacy courses developed by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale in collaboration with the Network of Work Orientation Centres (COLs) as part of Ambizione Italia for Youth [see news: Together with the City of Rome] started in March.
The intermediate level course on seeking employment will begin on April 16. The course addresses individuals with a good understanding of computers, but not much experience with digital and social networking tools for seeking professional employment [download poster - pdf].
The course will address
- Soft Skills – learning to speak in public, resolve working conflicts and identify solutions.
- Languages – fundamentals of Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Managing Documents – from off-line to on-line and cloud for computers, smartphones and tablets.
- Collaborative tools – collaboration platforms; seminars and distance training; registration, management and participation.
- Digital Citizens – creating and managing digital ID services; on-line council and social security services; privacy of sensitive data.
- On-line security – safeguarding your data on-line; recognising and avoiding phishing and fake news.
- Social Presence – main social networks; usage; creating and managing a profile; search for employment.
- On-line Communication – organising and improving digital communications.
- On-line Writing – rules for writing on-line and managing communication efficiently; creation of efficient presentations.
- Job Search – tools and platforms for self-orientation; use of social networks; personal branding, social bio and social CV; on-line platforms for finding employment.
- A Look at the Future – The most sought-after skills by the job market; the professions of the future.
