Today, for the seventh International Day of Women and Girls in Science (Feb. 11), starting at 6 pm, there will be an event dedicated to Women and Girls in Science: Different Perspectives to Observe Beyond the Farthest Stars. The objective is to recognise the role of women and girls as agents of change in science.
During the event, organised by the Uni@Verso lo Spazio workgroup at the Università degli Studi Mediterranea in Reggio Calabria, we will explore various outlooks and have the opportunity to listen to stories that create an impact, inspire and lead to action.
The event will open with an address by Prof. Amalia Ercoli Finzi, role model par excellence for researchers and students who aspire to excel in science.
Coding Girls will participate with Cecilia Stajano, Vice President of the Association and Innovation Community Manager at the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, and Scientist Flavia Dell'Agli, Astrophysicist and Researcher at the INAF Astronomical Observatory in Rome.
