Project Profile

Italy was selected as one of the six European states in which to test this new educational programme that helps young men and women to transform knowledge and competences into a winning profile for the labour market. It provides a flexible and scalable model that reaches out to young people with interactive, measurable and custom-tailored learning activities.

Living Digital” is a programme by Facebook and Freeformers dedicated to 100,000 young European aged 18-30. Programme

All content has been developed by Free Formers in collaboration with the University College of London Team “Educate.” The project entails a 4-hour mini-course dedicated to strengthening digital and transversal skills, the very skills that companies throughout Europe indicate are missing in the current workforce.

  • INNOVATION
Employing innovation to find solutions to life and work problems. Participants use the design thinking methodology to generate ideas, identify answers, design technological solutions and prototype apps.
  • SOCIAL MARKETING

What is social marketing? What professional opportunities are provided in the new era of social networks? During the course, participants will be introduced to the key concepts of on-line marketing: objectives, audiences, strategies, management and analysis of data.

  • WEB PRESENCE

Participants learn to understand the importance of managing on-line presence (both personal and company). During the course, participants will design a website and learn about techniques and tools to improve indexing and user experience.

  • CYBER SECURITY

Advice to stay safe on-line! During the course, participants will become more aware of on-line risks. Videos and practical exercises will be used to introduce them to the main defence tools against cyber-attacks.

The Free Formers Team is working on the development of two new modules dedicated to artificial intelligence and big data that will shortly be available.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

All the workshops are designed to help young men and women acquire greater trust in their own means and allow them to understand the trends of the 4.0 labour market. After every educational session, participants feel stimulated, curious, informed and motivated to employ their new knowledge in their personal and professional lives. Moreover, they are more aware of the impact that this knowledge will have on employment or university choices. They will be inspired to go on-line and learn more.

Following the face to face education, participants will complete an on-line course evaluation questionnaire and receive and attendance certificate that can be downloaded and shared on-line. Each participant will also receive (via e-mail) a competences profile to better understand their strengths, areas that require improvement, suggestions and practical resources for betterment.
