There are nearly 9000 kilometres between Rome and Hefei, in China, where RoboCup 2015 will be held, but it seems like we are there, too, amongst the competition fields and the young men and women we met at the RomeCup, admiring their determination and passion.
The Democrito Team will be competing in the Cospace Teathre Category of RoboCup Junior; Robot Magut from IIS Fermi-Mozzali in Treviglio in the Soccer Open League Category and Team Spqr from IIS Galileo Galilei in Rome will be fielding its light robots in the Soccer Light Weight Category.
Our last updates come from Professors Paolo Torda and Giampaolo Tucci, who have notified us of the victories of Emanuele Alfano (17) and Lorenzo Di Donato (19), who are in China to defend their world title from last year in Brazil. Then came fresh news from Prof. Beniamina Rauch and Headmasters Carlo Cipollone, who are opening their school to the world.
The young engineers who manned the university orientation lab at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym Robotics Centre are in China, too. They will compete with the Nao Robots in the Standard Platform League Category.
