The Lazio Section of the Association of Italian Libraries, in collaboration with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, Libraries of Rome and the Goethe-Institut Rome have organised a seminar entitled “Bibliomakers: the Ideas Factory at the Library” for the 7ª edition of Bibliopride.
The meeting, dedicated to the introduction of fab labs inside libraries, will be held on September 19, 2018 (6-8 pm) at the FMD Phyrtual Innovation Gym.
Speakers:
- Chiara De Vecchis, AIB Lazio
- Mirta Michilli, Fondazione Mondo Digitale
- Christina Hasenau, Goethe-Institut Rome
- Silvia Ronchetti, Biblioteca Giovenale
Participation is free and open to everyone, associates and non-associates. The seminar will be based on the experience of the Fabrizio Giovenale Library in Rome that inaugurated Project Bibliomakers on October 19, 2017. This project promoted an area of innovation and sharing culture with making activities and labs for primary school students with the involvement of families, professionals and local associations. Indeed, libraries can be transformed into centres of creativity and sharing by creating a network that will accelerate innovation and allow users to discover and use digital manufacturing tools.
