Water and Materials
Today, we experimented with our first activity related to Project Digital Bridge. Flavia and Alessio came and we tried to discover how materials react to water …
The unusual dictation exercise took place at the Scuola primaria Santa Beatrice (159° Circolo didattico Magliana) at the end of a special laboratory on water. Amidst a mass of different materials, the children in classes 3B and 4C and their teachers - Gigliola, Barbara and Elena- experimented to see which materials floated in a large water container.
Flavia from the Bambini+Diritti Association and Alessio from the Fondazione Mondo Digitale were present at the experiment and gathered the childrens’ first scientific observations.
It was an interesting activity and helpful to compare the life style and consumption habits of two geographically distant peoples: the Italians and the Sahrawis, who have been living in refugee camps in the Algerian desert for over 30 years.
