Kodu & Touch Develop

Activities continue at the Milan Microsoft House for Pink Cloud, the project inaugurated in 2013 to promote digital skills through free training courses for thousands of young women in Italy and abroad.

The initiative, organised by Microsoft in collaboration with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and growITup, will involve over 1500 young girls and women throughout Italy from March to December 2017.

Today, the Digital Class will host three coding labs: two on Kodu and one with Touch Develop. The courses will be coordinated by Francesca Del Duca for the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.

The two labs, based on the creative Kodu Game Lab will be held by Angeles Derryl, Sebastian Anastasia and Danilo Persichella with two primary school classes from the Istituto comprensivo Giusti D'Assisi, chaperoned by their teachers, Stefania Micalizzi and Maria Minasi.

The Touch Develop Lab, based on the Microsoft platform for the development of apps and games in a simple and guided manner, will be held by Marianna Lotti e Giulia Trovato. The lab will involve 15 very young programmers from the Istituto Fermi di Milano, chaperoned by teacher Gianmarco Stefanini.
