“Knowledge is a raw material according to French economist Delors. We have built quite a complicated world and knowing things in this world has become as paramount as the possession of raw materials and technical know-how,” explains Tullio De Mauro, Professor Emeritus at the Rome “La Sapienza” University and President of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.
“What do we do at the Fondazione Mondo Digitale? We stimulate inter-generational contact and put very young people together with elders to develop knowledge. Human Capital, knowledge capital: we enrich everyone’s capital. There is no future without solidarity amongst generations and people.”
The issue of knowledge will be analysed from a variety of points of view for an important event that will be held to celebrate 10 years of activity by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.
