Last November, the Phyrtual Innovation Gym launched a special digital literacy course for foreign citizens hosted by the welcome centres of the Italian System for the Protection of Asylum Seekers and Refugees. Two scouts, Gabriele (19) who studies architecture at the University of Roma Tre, and Davide (17) a student in his last year at the Liceo scientifico I. Newton in Rome, acted as digital facilitators.
Gabriele and Davide are part of the Roma 100 Scout Group who are providing individual volunteering services as indicated in the group’s regulations.
The young foreigners who attended the course at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym will become digital mediators for their peers at the Centro Sprar Enea on Via Amarilli in Rome.
Thanks to four computers donated by FAO, tomorrow the centre will organise its Internet Corner. The PCs will be delivered by Cecilia Stajano, School Innovation Coordinator, and Valentina Gelsomini, Phyrtual Innovation Gym Coach.
