Prof. Emeritus Tullio De Mauro will inaugurate the final event of the six edition of the Global Junior Challenge (GJC), the international competition that rewards the innovative use of technology for 21st century education and social inclusion.
 
On October 17 (10 am) the Don Gioacchino Rey Primary School (via sestio menas, 125, Rome) will host a lectio magistralis by Professor Tullio De Maruo on School and New Technology. Students and professors will be present and participate to understand how to face 21st century challenges.
 
On October ottobre, at the same time, Professor Alfonso Molina, Professor of Technology Strategy and Scientific Director of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, will present “21st Century Volunteers – Young Protagonists of Change,” a meeting between students and knowledge volunteers that will also serve to introduce the phyrtual.org social innovation platform.
 
The GJC is promoted by Roma Capitale and organized by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale under the high patronage of the President of the Italian Republic with the patronage of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in collaboration with the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), Legambiente and Intel Italia.  
 
The Global Junior Challenge will be held in Rome on October 17-19, 2012.
