Elders and young students together to learn and develop projects to improve the quality of life of their communities. It’s the intergenerational volunteering project that kicked-off today in Rome at the Istituto d'Istruzione Superiore Federico Caffè, in the Monteverde area. The European ComeOn! Project involves five countries: Holland, Hungary, Italy, Romania and Spain.
A group of volunteer students from the Caffé School, together with senior volunteers and two teachers, will be involved in designing and developing a social innovation project that will provide benefits to themselves, their families and their community by improving social cohesion.
Work will go hand-in-hand with a didactic module thanks to a digital platform that will bring two generations together to identify and solve community problems.
