Two years after the inauguration of the Innovation Summer Camp, an open urban lab organised by the Liceo Guglielmo Pepe to experiment with new learning locations [see news: Sm@rt School], Alfonso Molina returns to the Province of Brindisi for a series of meetings on Life Education and innovation.
The first appointment will be held today at 10 am at the Auditorium Luigi Greco, where the Scientific Director of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale will meet with students from the Liceo Pepe-Calamo, directed by Headmistress Annunziata Ferrara. Alfonso Molina will address "Life Education: Competences for the 21st Century” with students in years four and five.
In the afternoon (4-6 pm), Prof. Molina will be at al Vilaggio SOS in Ostuni, an educational community present in 133 countries, to speak about “robotics as an educational tool.”

On Thursday 30, Alfonso Molina and #Roboticsness students will embark on a new journey. The distance from the Ludovico Pepe School to the Villaggio SOS in Ostuni is short, but the voyage will be long. We will experiment with the power of robotics: collaboration, participation, motivation and well-being. It’s a new format: robotics in an informal context with pedagogues and teachers. Thanks to Lucia Grassi and Angelo Mola for making this idea I have been thinking of for a long time real!
In Ostuni, Alfonso Molina will also illustrate Project MaTHiSiS - Managing Affective-learning THrough Intelligent atoms and Smart InteractionS, and the experience of the interaction between Nao humanoid robots and children thanks to a custom-tailored platform [see video on Robot Athena].
Tomorrow, Friday, March 13, Prof. Molina will be at IIS Vincenzo Lilla in Francavilla Fontana, the school directed by Giovanna Carla Spagnolo. At 10 am, there will be a meeting with 300 students and at 4 pm with the professors. The day has been organised by Prof. Mimmo Aprile, digital coach at the school.
