As part of  "Futura - 3 Days for the National Digital School Plan: Education, Debate, Experience," that will be held in schools throughout Bologna on January 18-20, 2018, this afternoon, the Fondazione Mondo Digitale will host a range of activities for young women at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym. At the same time, in Bologna, the FMD will host the Stakeholders' Club, with a workshop on "Innovation and Inclusion in School: The Life Education Model" [see news: The School of the Future].

 

The Coding Girls will be the protagonists of the programme at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym (3:30 – 7:00 pm).

 

Young women from the IIS Tullio Levi Civita, the school directed by Claudia Scipioni, will practice coding to prepare for the first Open Day coordinated by the local Coding Girls Club. They are 18 students who will be accompanied by Prof. Giovanni Garganelli. The coordinating teachers are Daniela Gelfusa and Paola Mercuri, while Coach Daniele Vigo will help the students to explore the tools and devices in the digital manufacturing lab and discover the full potential of Steam.

 

Three Coding Girls from ITC Lombardo Radice, the school directed by Marina Proietti, will attend the Robotics Centre with Coach Valentina Gelsomini and Prof. Gabriella Cecchetti, to practice hosting a WeDo Lab with 5th grade students from the Istituto comprensivo Rita Levi Montalcini, directed by Cristina Costarelli. The students will be accompanied by Professors Cinzia Mancini and Annalisa Costa.
