The “All Digital Weeks” Campaign: May 13-31
As members of the “All Digital” Network, we will be participating actively in the “All Digital Weeks” initiative, one of the main European awareness-raising campaigns on digital skills for inclusion, empowerment, and employment. Starting from 2010, the campaign co-funded by the European Commission has helped nearly one and a half million people to connect for the first time or to improve their digital skills. The awareness-raising campaign is held in digital skilling centres, libraries, community centres, schools, and other facilities throughout Europe. Every year the campaign allows 50,000 Europeans from over 20 countries to learn and be inspired by what technology can do for them, concentrating on the opportunities provided by the digital transformation and its effects.
During the three “All Digital” Weeks (May 13-31), we will organise educational activities in synergy with various active projects (Ambizione Italia for Cybersecurity, Coding Girls, Coding Girls in Turin, Coding Girls in Mozambique, Dig4All, Digibreaker+, E-engAGEd, Ital.IA Lab, JOINclusion, LinkedIn – Recovery Skills, LV8. Coding for Young Women, Smart &Heart Rome, SWAT, and Fully Enjoy the Internet) involving the participants, aged 0 to 100, as per the campaign motto - “Improve Your Digital Skills” – an invitation to action for all European and particularly Italian citizens. In 2023, in fact, 45.7% of the individuals aged 16-74 who have used the Internet in the last three months has basic digital skills. And only 41.2% uses the SPID or CIE digital identity systems.
In particular, we would like to point out the workshop in Brussels, organised for Project DigiBreaker+ on May 14 (15.30-16.00).
