I’m Great!

I’m Great!

I’m Great!

Yesterday, the Fondazione Mondo Digitale received an e-mail describing an extraordinary story of a Project, Meet No Neet, and an award, the Discovering Talents Fair 2016. The protagonists of this story are the students at the Lodi Liceo Scientifico Giovanni Gandini, coordinated by Professor Paolo Egidio Camera.

"With the publication of the news on the school website, the app developed by students at the Gandini School for migrants and asylum seekers finally goes public after over two years of development,” explains the professor.

"In the Project Story and Our Partners, we speak about you, about how the project was conceived and how our participation in Project “Meet No Neet” was fundamental. The idea, which was conceived on the basis of an ethical photo, took shape though our participation in this FMD and Microsoft initiative.

The unanimous recognition of our idea by the jury at the Discovering Talents Fair 2016 really motivated the students, who accepted to accept the award not as the end of an adventure, but as its beginning. And so, a year and a half later, the app was born. Thanks again for having invented and organized the “Meet No Neet” Challenge and the encouragement you provided to the I’m Great Work Group.”

The e-mail also includes indications on how to download the application, which was developed thanks to FAMI funding through Project “SPQR - Servizi Più Qualificati in Rete” from the Lodi Planning Office.

"Both as a school and as part of the I'm Great Team, we are very satisfied by the work we have done. Developing an app at school is a complex challenge," adds the professor. “And this motivates us even more. The fact that such a large team has formed around this app for asylum seekers, both to develop and promote it, is incredible if we think that it all began with a photo. Thanks again and hope to see you soon.”

Thank you! And the beautiful and precious team you put together! Thanks for having shared this story about SCHOOL. This type of result is the best payment for your commitment and we find it much more efficient than any benchmark on the impact of our activities!
