Today, the Phyrtual Innovation Gym hosts the final appointment of Project “BYE: Build Your Experience” (May 2016 - May 2017), an initiative by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale financed by Google for Education as part of the Google RISE Awards 2016 Programme, the yearly grant for non-profit organisations, to promote STEM subjects amongst young men and women with less access to the study of technical and scientific subjects.
The programme includes two labs with Scratch and Google Cardboard visors. Two classes from the Istituto comprensivo Don Bosco di Roma will be present (a year two and a year three primary school class). The lab will be held by Coaches Lara Forgione and Paola De Marco, two tutors from IIS Lombardo Radice in Rome, on a school-work programme, and a volunteer, Giuseppe.
