The value of Microsoft certification on cybersecurity in Alessia’s education.
Alessia Rossi, from Rome, will soon turn 24. She has a degree in industrial engineering and is currently studying for a master’s in intelligent systems engineering at the Rome Campus Bio-Medico University. “During my studies, I developed a strong interest in cybersecurity, understanding the crucial importance it has in every industrial and technological field. I chose to obtain the Microsoft SC-900 certification because it is prestigious and highly respected in the sector,” explains Alessia, “and it has allowed me to deepen my knowledge and skills on the basic IT security and identity management, as well as knowledge of Microsoft security solutions.”
Certifications can be obtained thanks to the collaboration between the university and the Fondazione Mondo Digitale as part of project Ambizione Italia for Cybersecurity [see news: Certifying Skills].
Alessia has very clear ideas and is not afraid of complexity, on the contrary... "The basic notions of security, compliance, and identity management are crucial for any role in the field of information security and are applicable in many work situations,” she explains. “The concepts I have acquired with the SC-900 certification represent a fundamental and essential basis for further advanced certifications and to continue my studies, increasing the complexity of my cybersecurity skills.”
One of the aspects that most intrigues Alessia is artificial intelligence, which she considers to be an area of fundamental importance for the future of technology and cybersecurity. Her next challenge will be the Microsoft SC-200 certification to delve into AI, machine learning, and deep learning concepts, essential for developing intelligent and secure solutions.
The path to obtaining the certification proved to be congenial: “I particularly appreciated the clarity and simplicity with which the topics were treated. The structure of the training material was organized in an intuitive way, allowing me to learn complex cybersecurity concepts effectively and without difficulties. Having access to on-line study materials and interactive modules has made learning much more flexible and manageable, fitting perfectly into my academic and personal commitments.”
And what about your professional future? “I think that new working scenarios will open up thanks to this certification. It gives me a significant competitive advantage on the job market. The certification provides a concrete certification of my skills and knowledge in the field of cybersecurity, demonstrating my commitment and preparation in this sector,” replies Alessia without hesitation.
