Last Tuesday, October 18, the training session of the transnational team of social job agents of Project Path to a Job, was held at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym Video Lab [see news Training and Meeting]. The team includes 15 individuals from two countries: Spain and the United Kingdom.
The agents were able to use all the devices provided in the lab: video cameras, lights, coloured backgrounds, smartphones, tablets, and computers for video-editing.
"After a short theoretical explanation," points out Coach Fiammetta Castagnini, "I compared ideas with the participants and provided them with a few pointers on how to develop the video. We spoke about voice tone, attitude, body language, posture and looking towards the camera. Then, we move on to more technical aspects, such as filming devices and video-editing software (professional, on-line, apps for mobile devices, etc.)."
The work was based on a simple programme: presentation, qualifications, professional skills, post for which they were applying, contacts and thank-you.
Participants practiced in two groups: a Spanish one and an English one. Each group identified the best person for each role: the screenwriters to prepare the CV of a famous or fictional personality, the actors for the interpretation and the technicians to prepare the set and film the video CV.
They then worked together on the editing, choosing the soundtrack and graphics with an easy-to-use and intuitive on-line software programme.
"They chose very creatively: James Bond and Batman. And the result of the practice session was fun and efficient. Their creativity is contagious!” concluded Fiammetta Castagnini.
Today, the educational programme continues at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym Digital Manufacturing Lab to explore the potential of “digital making” with Coach Mauro Del Santo.
Two visits are planned in the afternoon to the Liceo scientifico J. F. Kennedy in Rome for a pilot school-work experience and to MaTeMù, the CIES youth aggregation centre.
