Hour of Code

The Hour of Code that began as an introductory lesson to remove the mysterious atmosphere that shrouds computer programming has now become a global effort to promote computer science by over 400 global partners and 200,000 teachers around the world.

The Hour of Code takes place every year during the Computer Science Education Week. This year the event (Dec. 9-15, 2019) marks the birth of Computer Science pioneer Grace Murray Hopper (Dec. 9, 1906). This year, the Computer Science Education Week will focus on computer science for the common good.

Besides appointments at the Milan Microsoft House, in school hubs and at the Rome Phyrtual Innovation Gym [see agenda of the week], there will be an initiative at IIS Emanuela Loi in Nettuno (Rome) with the Coding Girls!

Young women in year three at the Istituto Comprensivo Nettuno 1 - Plesso   M.  De  Franceschi will be involved on Thursday, December 12 in coding activities [see notice].
