Today, IISS A. Manetti Headmaster Maria Grazia Trani and the Provincial Authorities that sponsored the team welcome back the young champions of RoboCup 2014. The appointment is today (Tuesday July 29) at 10 at the Grosseto Province Office in Piazza Dante. Students, families and school personnel will all be waiting for the champs.
In Brazil, the soccer robots developed by the Manetti Soccer Team won the World Championships Superteam category and the award as team that best interpreted the educational spirit of RoboCup in term of inter-team collaboration and sportsmanship.
The protagonists of the success in João Pessoa were Lorenzo Misuri and Federico Pingitore, along with their teachers Antonio Turano and Daniele Dattrino.
"I admit that I’m really excited about this result,” confesses Prof. Dattrino to the local media. “It’s the best result ever reached by an Italian team. I knew our team was strong, but I never thought we’d actually win! The students deserve it, though. Leonardo Bargagna, Andrea Berti, Dino Sugaroni and Manuel Buzzacarin worked hard all year on this project."
