After yesterday’s press conference at the United States Embassy, Project Coding Girls kicked off its marathon of all-female coding between Roman and Neapolitan Schools [see news Coding and Technology].
Yesterday, the first meeting was held at the Istituto Comprensivo Piazza Winchelman with Headmaster Nicoletta Grandonico, which includes three schools in four different locations. Thirty young girls participated in the lab hosted by Prof Antonietta Dell'Agli.
Today, from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm, IIS Croce-Aleramo in Rome will also host stduents from the Kennedy School.
IIS Croce-Aleramo, managed by Headmaster Emilia D'Aponte, operates in an extremely wide context and has students from a very ample socio-economic level. Thirty students will participate in its coding lab coordinated by Prof Lorenza Pellegrini.
The Liceo J. F. Kennedy is in downtown Rome and managed by Headmaster Lidia Cangemi. It will send 10 young women, coordinated by Prof Carla Ciabatti to the Liceo Croce.
From 2:30 to 5:30 pm, the historical Istituto d’Istruzione superiore Augusto Righi, in the Ludovisi – Sallustianso neighbourhood, which also participated in the “Science Illuminates” exhibition, will host a coding lab for thirty girls coordinated by Professors Francesca Sartogo and Susan Langerfeld.
